In this month I been reading The Witches By Roald Dahl Illustrated be Quentin Blake. This book is about a Witch who hates children and choses their victim by stalking them. Bruno Jenkins, a boy who knows everything about witches, he got lured by the witches by telling him that she has chocolate with her and she took her to unknown room. Bruno is still wondering if he could escape. Grandma (the grandmother of Bruno Jenkins) told him about Witches in Norway and she really cares about him.
I really enjoyed reading this book because it tells us about safety and to be aware of strangers. Not only did Roald Dahl wrote about this for safety, but he also wrote this book about character’s personality.
My favorite character is the grandma because she is worried about Bruno’s safety and tries to look for him without giving up, A quote that proves Grandma that she cares about him is “don’t cry grandma” Bruno said. “Things could be a lot worse. I did get away from them. I’m still alive. So is Bruno.” This quote proves that His grandma is worried about him because she thought that Bruno couldn’t get away from the Witch.
My favorite quote is “my grandmother picked me up off the table and kiss me on the nose.” This quote is my one of my favorite because they can travel all over the world and work together by finishing the witches by themselves.
